Blackgang Chine is a theme park built on a number of levels amongst the cliffs near Ventnor. An attraction for the whole family, the park is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs, as well as on foot. Some of the steeper slopes may be difficult for people with limited walking abilities.
A new attraction at Blackgang which opened in 2010 to arouse interest in adults, is The Disappearing Village - based on the BBC series Coast it examines the British Coastline and how the village of Blackgang has disappeared.
"Welcome to Robin Hill...the Island's award winning countryside attraction. There's no place quite like it that pleases so many people on the Isle of Wight...from families seeking thrilling rides and adventurous play to adults in search of relaxing gardens and wildlife."
Built high on the Downs at Arreton, the park commands outstanding views over the surrounding countryside. With surprises around every corner there is something for all the family, from beautiful gardens (the rhodedenrums are breathtaking in the spring) elusive red squirrels, a Roman Villa exhibition and rides for toddlers and thrill seekers alike. There is a picnic area and peacocks wander through the park displaying their magnificent tails.
The September "Bestival" is held at Robin Hill and is getting to be a bigger event every year.
"Dinosaur Isle is the first purpose built dinosaur museum and interactive visitor attraction. It is a new building displaying fossils and life size exhibits of dinosaurs that once roamed the Island. The Island is the most important site of dinosaur finds and exhibits in Europe."
Within easy walking distance of your chalet accommodation, this museum is fascinating for children of all ages. The interactive exhibits offer a totally different experience for everyone, and as an educational centre it is visited by a number of school parties from the Island and the mainland every year.

The Needles Park offers a range of attractions including the spectacular chairlift to the beach, Alum Bay Glass and Sweet Manufactory; the perfect packed day out for all the family."
At the site of the Alum Bay famous coloured cliffs with a chairlift down to the beach there are boat trips out around the Needles rock formation, where many a ship came to grief. You can watch glass blowers at work and sweets being made as well as go on rides and buy souvenirs.
